“호수와 산의 정령들은 그들의 아름답고 대담한 행위를 내 영혼 속에 아로새겨 넣었다. 가파른 절벽과 암벽은 자손 대대로 내려오면서 가슴에 새겨진 상처의 세월에 대해 자랑스럽고 경건하게 이야기했다. 험한 바위산들은 울부짖고 으르렁거리며 하늘로 치솟아 올라 무턱대고 높은 봉우리를 이루다가 어느 정점에 가서는 힘없이 목을 꺾어 내렸다. 쌍둥이 산들은 서로 자리를 차지하려고 무섭게 싸우다가는 결국 한 봉우리가 다른 봉우리를 무찔러 옆으로 밀어 던지며 부서트렸다. 그 이후로 저 높은 협곡들에는 부서져내린 봉우리, 밀려나고 금이 간 바위들이 아직도 여기저기 매달려 있었다."

“And on my poor little soul, still blank and calm and full of expectancy, the lake and mountain spirits etched their proud deeds. Rigid cliffs and scarred precipices spoke, in tones of awe and defiance, of the age that had given them birth. They spoke of ancient days when the earth heaved and tossed and in the moaning agony of birth, thrust mountain peaks and crests from its tortured womb. Rock masses surged upward, screaming and cracking until, aiming into nowhere they toppled. Twin mountains wrestled desperately for space until one rose triumphant, pushing his brother aside and smashing him. Even today you can find broken-off crags, toppled or split, clinging precariously to the edge of a gorge.”

정그림은 입체와 평면의 경계에서 유기적인 선의 형태를 탐구하여 관객의 감각과 상상력을 자극함으로써 상호적 (interective) 오브제를 연구한다. 단일(單一)을 의미하는 Mono series 는 하나의 끊이지 않는 선이 마치 그림을 그리듯 공간을 채운다. 건축자재인 실리콘 튜브의 말랑한 질감과 긴 형태에서 영감을 받은 Mono series 는 생명이 없는 사물이지만 그가 갖는 유기적인 곡선은 마치 생물체와 같은 동적인 느낌을 준다. 선이라는 요소의 변주 가능성을 실험하며 다양한 재질과 형태, 비례 등을 시도, 연물로부터 얻은 영감을 고스란히 전시장으로 옮겼다. 어딘가 존재할법한 자연 기슭* 어귀를 상상하며 만든 오브제들은 사진
작가 박현성이 담은 계절의 풍경들로 함께 꾸며진다. 박현성은 잠상처럼 남아있는 장면들을 다시 가시화하고 대상의 온전함을 보여주는 사진가이다.

Jeong Greem explores the from of organic lines at the boundary between the solid and plane figure. She studies interactive objects by stimulating the senses and imagination of the a udience. Mono series which mean “single”, the representative work of Jeong Greem, fill the space with a constant line as if it draws a picture. Inspired by the soft texture and long shape of the silicon tube, the construction material, Mono series are lifeless object but its organic curves give dynamic feeling just like living thing. This exhibition, which attempted various materials, shapes, proportions and etc. to experiment the possibility of variation in the element of line, transferred the inspiration from natural objects intact to the exhibition hall. The objects, created by imagining the edge or estuary of the nature that may exist somewhere, are decorated by borrowing seasonal scenery pictured by photographer Park Hyun-sung briefly. Park Hyun-sung is a photographer who materializes the scenes that remain like latent images and demonstrates the integrity of the object.
